How the technology works
A 10,600nm CO2 laser — absorbed by tissue water, vaporizing microscopic columns of skin and heating surrounding dermis to trigger collagen remodeling.
In fractional mode (AcuScan scanner) it treats a percentage of the surface, trading a week of downtime for meaningful improvement in wrinkles, sun damage, texture and acne scars; full-ablation mode resurfaces or removes lesions outright.
SuperPulse delivery keeps pulses short so tissue vaporizes with less bystander heat than continuous-wave CO2, meaning cleaner healing.

SuperPulse waveform and the AcuScan120 scanner; short-pulse CO2 with a pattern scanner also describes most current competitors.
