How the technology works
Bipolar fractional RF through arrays of coated pin electrodes; insulation along the shaft concentrates thermal energy at the tip, coagulating tissue at programmed depths while sparing the epidermis.
Tips span shallow resurfacing arrays through 24-pin face tips (to ~4mm) up to the 40-pin Body tip reaching ~7mm mechanical depth plus ~1mm thermal effect — deep enough to remodel subdermal fat, hence InMode's "adipose remodeling" positioning.
Burst mode fires RF sequentially at multiple depths in one insertion, treating a full tissue column per pass. Used for wrinkles, laxity, acne scarring, jawline/submental and body contouring adjuncts.
Patented technology
InMode's patent estate centers on coated/insulated pin-electrode design for depth-controlled subdermal coagulation and the multi-depth Burst sequence. The 2024 Morpheus8 90 clearance added the category's first cleared soft-tissue-contraction indication — a genuine regulatory differentiator.
