How the technology works
A single 800nm diode targets follicular melanin via selective photothermolysis, fluence adjustable to ~100 J/cm2 in PULSE mode for traditional per-shot treatment of lighter types. SLIDE mode drops fluence and raises repetition to 10Hz for gradual in-motion heating — better comfort, safer on darker types.
Real-time contact cooling protects the epidermis in both modes. Textbook diode physics without wavelength blending: effective on the Fitzpatrick I-IV meat of the market, more operator-dependent at the extremes.

Nothing exotic — Venus's differentiation was commercial (the subscription model) more than optical; the dual PULSE/SLIDE delivery and integrated cooling are well-executed but broadly similar to other single-wavelength diodes.
