How the technology works
Based on Alma's LipoLife platform — a 1470nm diode laser fires radially from a fiber inside the aspiration cannula, simultaneously loosening fat and coagulating tissue while low-vacuum suction draws fat into a closed sterile collection system.
The wavelength targets water and fat with shallow penetration, so energy exposure of harvested fat is brief — Alma's core claim is high adipocyte viability (~95% in company-cited work).
Harvested fat is filtered and transferred without leaving the closed circuit, cutting contamination risk and OR time, then reinjected for facial, hand, breast, or buttock volume.
Patented technology
The LipoLife radial-emission fiber-in-cannula design plus closed-loop harvesting/transfer circuit; companion LipoFlow automates wash/filter/transfer.
