The science
A handheld Peltier-plate wand cycles skin temperature between warm (~104F) and cold (below freezing at the plate, skin kept above frostbite range) while the operator massages — CryoSlimming alternates hot/cold aiming to cold-stress subcutaneous fat; CryoToning and facials use cold to stimulate circulation and temporarily tighten. Cold-induced fat-cell apoptosis is a documented phenomenon and is the basis of cryolipolysis, which is a separate, 510(k)-cleared device class. The reproducible short-term effect of thermal contrast is vasoconstriction/vasodilation, which de-puffs and smooths skin for days to weeks. These units hold no US 510(k) for fat reduction.
