The science

An electrosurgical generator energizes helium gas with RF to create a cool plasma stream at the tip of a wand passed under the skin through lipo incisions. Plasma delivers intense heat for milliseconds, contracting the fibroseptal network and dermal underside, while flowing helium rapidly cools surrounding tissue — high peak contraction with less bulk heating than RF or laser. Used immediately after fat aspiration on neck, arms, abdomen, back, thighs. Because helium is injected into a closed subcutaneous space, technique matters enormously — ports must vent; misuse has been linked to subcutaneous emphysema and rare gas embolism events.

Generator warranty ~12 months; the generator is rarely the problem — the ongoing relationship (and cost) is handpiece supply, which only Apyx controls.
