When intended to stimulate healthy muscles to improve or facilitate muscle performance, CoolTone induces muscle contractions to enhance muscle function and may therefore be considered a technique of muscle training. Magnetic muscle stimulation (MMS) — rapidly alternating magnetic fields induce electrical currents in muscle, forcing supramaximal contractions beyond voluntary exercise. A 30-minute session drives thousands of contractions, producing hypertrophy and strengthening over a series.
