Published service-contract prices for aesthetic devices: what is on the record
No major aesthetic device maker publishes an annual service price. Here is every service figure we could document, each with its date and source.
By The Aesthetic Index · Published
This guide describes documented consumable models. It contains no assessment of any manufacturer; figures carry their date and source.
Annual service cost is the least-documented figure in aesthetic equipment. Across the 45 platforms we checked, no price for a manufacturer service contract was published by Candela, Cynosure, Solta, InMode, BTL, Cutera or Sciton.
Candela's ServicePlus page lists three tiers — Essential, Gold, Platinum, 12 months, OEM parts — with no prices.[1] Cynosure's service page lists none. This guide collects the concrete figures that are public.
What the third-party market publishes
A US third-party PM contract at $650/yr covering up to 3 devices, with non-contract repair at $150 per device plus $95/hr after diagnosis. The out-of-warranty rate repeatedly quoted by used-equipment dealers: parts + $185.00/hr labor after a 90-day warranty.[2]
UK third party: £1,300–£1,850 + VAT per annual service visit. A UK clinic operator reports warranty and servicing ran £6,000–£10,000 a year per laser before a single consumable.[3]
A UAE dealer AMC price list gives rare concrete per-model figures: Candela GentleMax Pro AED 25,000/yr, Cynosure Elite Plus AED 25,000/yr, DEKA AED 35,000/yr.[4]
Figures published in academic sources
Published academic figures for laser service contracts: roughly 5–7% of purchase price for a labor-only contract and about 22% for an all-parts contract, with picosecond platforms at roughly 8–10% of purchase price for a full contract.[5]
What service contracts typically exclude
Full-service contracts typically exclude disposables, handpieces, fibers and delivery optics, and many laser handpieces cease to operate after 50,000 pulses, so those wear items are often not covered.
How we publish it
Where a per-model service figure exists in our data, it renders on the device page's Economics section as a "Service:" line, always with its source. Where the field is blank, no published figure was located, and we print the gap rather than an estimate.
Ask for the service quote in writing alongside the purchase quote; the service line recurs every year the machine is in use. See also consumable models and how we verify.
